What to expect from Adventure Canada
It’s All About Connecting
The singular purpose of an Adventure Canada expedition is to connect people—with nature’s wonders; with rare wildlife; with the remote places; with local people, culture, and food; with history and science; with music and other arts; and with each other.
Come link arms with us and explore places that you dreamed about. Some say it’s transformational. Perhaps it will be for you.
Travel with purpose
It matters that you travel with purpose: to explore, to learn, to connect, to grow. It matters that you travel with yearning: for adventure, for fun, for fulfilment, for authenticity. It matters that you travel with respect: for nature, for culture, for community, for ourselves.
When you join us on one of our voyages, you are not just a tourist, but a traveller choosing to broaden your mind and deepen your understanding while refusing to let your world grow any smaller.
Restore Yourself with Nature
We call it Vitamin N. “N” for nature because it’s so good for you: for your body, for your brain, for your heart, for your attitude, for your peace of mind—and on an Adventure Canada expedition you get a megadose!
Come sit on a tundra boulder dropped by a glacier ten thousand years ago, listen to the silence, feel the interconnection, and restore yourself.
Wildlife Encounters
Our expert guides take you to where you’re most likely to see abundant and elusive wildlife, while always keeping a respectful and safe distance: whales and seabirds in Atlantic Canada and North Atlantic Europe, and muskox, seals, and polar bears in the Arctic.
It’s not just about the very special treat of seeing wild things, it’s about finding the deeper meaning and bringing it home with us.
Cross-Cultural Connections
Wherever we go, people from the local culture travel with us as part of the expedition team. These cultural educators, which could be Inuit, Scottish, Faroese, Icelandic, Newfoundlanders, or Labradorians, are aboard to allow you to go deeper than the throatsinging and drum-dancing, haggis and the highland dance.
We foster emotional engagement that can lead to acceptance, understanding, and mutual respect.
Connect with Yourself
Finding quiet time to recharge is essential. On our expeditions, you can start your day early with breakfast on deck, watching the rhythmic wake, or sit by a window and journal. Onshore, discover solitude in nature, embracing the power of silence. Sit, listen, breathe.
Experience lifelong learning with our expedition team
Our expedition cruises offer active, immersive learning experiences that enrich your mind and soul. Led by local experts, whether Inuit, Scots, or Icelandic, you’ll gain unique insights into their lands and cultures. Explore climate impacts on Arctic marine life, learn folk beliefs, and try creative activities like printmaking or Inuit beading.
Choose Your Activity
At any fitness level, there’s something for everyone on our expeditions. Before each landing, the expedition leader will present maps, photos, and terrain details, offering activity options ranging from challenging hikes to easy strolls. Onboard, you can attend presentations, join workshops, relax in the library, or enjoy the deck.
