Owned and operated by Viking, Viking Ra was specifically built to navigate the Nile. She was completely stripped down to her steel frame and reconfigured to be a modern, elegant vessel, launched in 2018. Fully reimagined to international standards and Viking design specifications, she is now an all-suite, state-of-the art ship with the clean, elegant Scandinavian design for which Viking is known. Accommodating just 52 guests, she offers the ultimate in comfort.

Our intimate, all-veranda ships offer a wide variety of staterooms for your selection. From Veranda Staterooms to the abundance of extra perks and amenities in our spacious Explorer Suites, there’s no finer way to travel. And whichever stateroom you choose, you will find it beautifully designed in the understated elegance for which Viking is known.

Due to the nature of Viking cruises, they do not maintain specific facilities or services for children aboard cruise vessels. In the circumstances you and all members of your party must be aged 18 or over on or before the day you are scheduled to embark on the cruise vessel.

From the Program Director and Hotel Manager to restaurant servers and housekeeping, the onboard staff is dedicated to serving you. Gratuities are included on board. Any additional tipping is at your discretion; should you choose to tip your local guides and drivers, we recommend tipping at the end of each tour in cash. Most restaurants include service in their prices, and it’s customary to round up generously for good service.

While your ship does not have any fitness equipment, feel free to walk the walking track on the Sun Deck for your daily exercise, or take part in our shore excursions and walking tours. In many major cities, you may access nearby First-Class hotels and use their Fitness Center and Spa facilities as part of Viking’s relationship with those hotels.
