What to expect from TUI Isla

Overview

TUI Isla follows the TUI River Cruises standard of two onboard restaurants and bars. These are thrown into the mix with a please-all top deck, featuring sunbathing, lounging and activity zones. Just like its sister ships, TUI Isla offers a Full Board Plus package as standard. So, you’ve got three meals and drinks at mealtimes included in the price. And you can look forward to free unlimited Wi-Fi all over the ship.

All our cabins come with air-conditioning, a hairdryer, a flatscreen TV, a safe and tea and coffee making facilities. Plus, they’re all on the outside of the ship, with a porthole, window or French balcony.

Entertainment

Evenings can be as relaxed or up-tempo as you like on board TUI Isla – watch live music at Observatory, or nurse a cocktail at Club Lounge.

Observatory

This lounge takes pride of place at the heart of our ships. As with all our venues, you can expect widescreen windows for admiring the panoramic views. You can get an even better look from the outdoor terrace, though – it’s a sheltered spot, kitted out with tables and chairs. It’s happy hour here every evening, with discounted drinks and complimentary canapés. After dark, Observatory hosts the nightly entertainment, where the entertainment team perform West End hits, pop classics and rock and roll anthems. Interactive quizzes, local guest acts and silent discos are all on the cards here, too.

Club Lounge

Coffee and cocktails are the cornerstones of this bar. Plush purple chairs, brass fittings and mirrored tables set a sophisticated scene. By day, you can sip a coffee* while taking in the views. At night, you can clink pre-dinner cocktails* in front of a roaring digital fireplace, before heading to one of the restaurants. Return after dinner if you fancy a quiet bar for after-dark drinks.

Top Deck

The views from the top deck are worth swooning over, but that’s not all it’s good for. It’s split into zones, with different areas for relaxation and activities. Plus, when you want to switch up the pace, there’s an area for activities, where deck games like minigolf, cornhole and shuffleboard take place. There’s giant chess and giant connect four up here, too. You can check the full activity schedule once you’re onboard.

Atrium

The Atrium is the main hub of our ships. It’s where you’ll find the Reception desk, as well as the Cruise Experience Manager, who can help with any questions and shore experience bookings. You can grab a book from the book shelves, play board games, or stock up on souvenirs from the onboard shop. Outside of mealtimes, you can grab a complimentary tea or coffee from the self-service station here.

Guest Acts and Special Events

We hand-pick our guest acts, so you can expect top talent when it comes to the entertainment. Think dancers, singers, and speakers. Other special events include stargazing and film screenings on the top deck (weather permitting).

Live Music

Come evening, the entertainment team perform West End hits, pop classics and rock and roll anthems, and lay on interactive quizzes, local guest acts, stargazing, and plenty more.

Game Shows and Quizzes

Our game shows and quizzes are fully interactive and use the latest technology. You can use our digital handsets to test your knowledge on everything from history to geography.

Enrichment

You’ve got your pick of all sorts of daytime activities. There are wellness-themed activities, too, like yoga and Pilates. And if games are more your thing, head to the top deck for a few rounds of minigolf.

Culture, Crafts and Talks

Cookery demos, art classes and language lessons are some of our creative masterclasses onboard. We also have daily talks that cover everything from destination information to local traditions in some of our ports. And new for 2024, we’ve added the likes of chocolate-painting sessions and mobile photography workshops, so you can capture the best pictures while you’re away.

Dining

Dining-wise, you’ve got your pick of two restaurants, Verdastro and Bistro. You can look forward to a six-course gala dinner on sailings of five nights or more, too. Our cruises are on a Full Board Plus basis, which means dining at our two restaurants and a range of mealtime drinks are included. If you fancy a bigger selection of drinks or want a glass of wine outside of mealtimes, you’ll need to upgrade to our All Inclusive package, or pay as you go.

Verdastro

There’s an elegant green-and-gold colour scheme in our main restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu changes daily, with fresh, seasonal food sourced from local suppliers. For dinner, there’s always a meat, fish, veggie and pasta dish. You can choose from the buffet or the menu at breakfast, while lunch and dinner are an à la carte affair with waiter service. Seating-wise, you can pick from tables for two, or pull up a chair with friends on a table for four or six.

Bistro

Things are a little more casual in Bistro, our second restaurant. It’s attached at the hip with Verdastro, giving you an extra dining option. Like Verdastro, it’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can choose from the buffet at breakfast and lunch, while dinner is an à la carte affair showcasing some of the produce from the region you are in. Plus, it hosts an afternoon tea buffet once per sailing.

Al Fresco Dining

As well as sunbeds, the top deck’s also laid out with tables and chairs. When the weather permits, we’ll put on outdoor events, like barbecues. You can get drinks up here, too.
