What to expect from TUI Bahareya

Overview

It’s all about immersing yourself in local culture onboard the adults-only TUI Bahareya, and that starts with the décor – think Arabic-inspired style with a modern twist. There are Egyptologists onboard who can fill you in on the local area, as well, and share the stories behind the sights. The ship’s All Inclusive as standard, so all your food and drink at the two restaurants and two bars is part of the package, including lunchtime snacks with a local flavour and Egyptian dishes from the top deck eatery in the evenings . Speaking of the top deck, you’ll find a pool, a bar, and plenty of space to relax up here, too. Back inside, meanwhile, the main lounge plays host to nightly entertainment.

All the cabins have been fully refurbished, and have a bright, modern feel with an Arabic design. They’re all on the outside of the ship, too, so views are guaranteed. Inside, you’ll find air-conditioning, a hairdryer, a safety deposit box, a flatscreen TV, and tea and coffee-making facilities as standard. And for a little extra, you can treat yourself to a Balcony Suite, which comes with lots of little upgrades.

Enrichment

Whether you want to book your shore experiences through us or explore our ports of call at your own pace, a TUI River Cruises sailing has the best of both worlds.

Sightsee At Leisure

If exploring at your own pace sounds more your cup of tea, our tickets and attractions experiences are perfect. You can set off on your own and join in with things like food tasting tours, or see the destination on hop-on-and-off buses. If you’d rather just bag yourself a spot in a local café and watch the world go by, that’s great, too – our cruises allow for as much sightseeing as you like.

If you want to find out everything you need to know about the ports we visit, don’t miss our Cruise Experience Manager’s daily port talks. They’ll also tell you about some of the shore experiences available. Also, use the onboard app, Navigate. It’s got port maps on it – perfect for if you want to go off and explore alone.

Dining

The main restaurant – Belhana – is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s a buffet set-up for breakfast and lunch here, with show-cooking stations and a mix of international and local dishes, then dinner’s an à la carte affair. You can also grab light bites at lunchtime from Sofra on the top deck. Al fresco dining is available in the evenings here, too, and there’s a focus on local dishes. You’ll need to book a table in advance, but it’ll still be part of your All Inclusive package.
