What to expect from TUI Bahareya

Overview

Accommodation

All the cabins have been fully refurbished, and have a bright, modern feel. They all come with air-conditioning, a hairdryer, a safety deposit box, a flatscreen TV, and tea and coffee-making facilities as standard. And for a little extra, you can treat yourself to a French Balcony Suite, which comes with lots of little upgrades.

These suites are bigger than our superior cabins at 24m², and they come with a double bed and a French balcony. All the standard features are included like air-conditioning, a TV, a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, a safety deposit box, a minibar, and tea and coffee making facilities. There are a few little extras, too, such as bathrobes and slippers, upgraded toiletries and breakfast in bed a couple of times per week. Entertainment

The main lounge – Observatory – hosts nightly entertainment, including live music, movies and quizzes. There are local guest acts, too, including a traditional Nubian show, plus an Egyptologist onboard who can provide more information and insight on the places you’ll visit, and answer any questions. Activities are available throughout the day, too, including the likes of Yoga classes.

You’ll find lots of facilities onboard, so there’s plenty to keep you occupied after a spot of sightseeing. On the top deck there’s a pool with loungers dotted around it, so you can take it easy while soaking up the views. There’s a bar and a space for activities up here, too. Inside, meanwhile, you’ll find the main restaurant with its buffet spread and show-cooking stations, plus the Observatory lounge where the nightly entertainment takes place. Breakout areas are dotted around the ship, as well, where local teas, coffees and delicacies are laid on.

This light and contemporary lounge is the ship’s main bar, and hosts talks from the onboard Egyptologists, plus nightly entertainment. You can expect the likes of live music, quizzes, films and local acts.

Atrium

The Atrium is the main hub of the ship. This bright, open space is kitted out with Arabic-influenced décor, and it’s where you’ll find the reception desk and the shore experiences desk. There’s a self-serve tea and coffee station here as well, that’s on hand 24/7.

Top Deck

The main restaurant’s open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s a buffet setup here, with show-cooking stations and a focus on local dishes. You can also grab lunches on the go from the bar on the top deck, and al fresco dining is available in the evenings. You’ll need to book a table in advance, but it’ll still be part of your All Inclusive package.
