Entertainment

Observatory Lounge hosts nightly entertainment, from local acts to live music and quizzes. There’s an Egyptologist onboard as well, who can provide more information and insight on the places you’ll visit, and answer any questions.

There’s plenty to keep you occupied onboard, including a pool on the top deck, a pair of hot tubs and a wellness area. Food and drink come courtesy of the two bars and two restaurants, and the Observatory Lounge hosts nightly entertainment.

Please note that current facilities are planned and are subject to change.

Observatory Lounge

This light and contemporary lounge is the ship’s main bar, and it plays host to the nightly entertainment onboard. Look forward to live music, quizzes, movies and more. There’s a variety of traditional entertainment and local acts, too, including Egyptian Whirling Dervishes and Nubian shows.

Atrium

The Atrium is the main hub of the ship. It’s where you’ll find the reception desk, and the Cruise experience manager's desk. They’re all on hand to help with any questions, and you can book your shore experiences here, too. There’s a self-serve tea and coffee station here as well, that’s on hand 24/7.

Top Deck

The top deck’s split into different zones for relaxation and activities. There’s a pool and a couple of hot tubs to dip in, with plenty of sunloungers around them to chill out on. And there’s a bar and a restaurant up here, too.

Enrichment

Whether you want to book your shore experiences through us or explore our ports of call at your own pace, a TUI River Cruises sailing has the best of both worlds.

Sightsee At Leisure

If exploring at your own pace sounds more your cup of tea, our tickets and attractions experiences are perfect. You can set off on your own and join in with things like food tasting tours, or see the destination on hop-on-and-off buses. If you’d rather just bag yourself a spot in a local café and watch the world go by, that’s great, too – our cruises allow for as much sightseeing as you like.

If you want to find out everything you need to know about the ports we visit, don’t miss our Cruise Experience Manager’s daily port talks. They’ll also tell you about some of the shore experiences available. Also, use the onboard app, Navigate. It’s got port maps on it – perfect for if you want to go off and explore alone.

Dining

Dining-wise, you can head to the main restaurant inside – Lazeeza – for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s an al fresco dining area on the top deck, too, called Felucca, which is open for light bites at lunchtime and evening meals – you’ll need to reserve a table for the latter. Tea, coffee and cakes are served every afternoon on the top deck, too.

Lazeeza

This is the main restaurant onboard, and its name means ‘delicious’ in Arabic. This bright, modern space is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with waiter service. Breakfast and lunch is a mix of buffet and show-cooking options, whilst dinner is an a la carte affair. There are lots of local flavours to try and a six-course gala dinner is served here once per sailing, too. You don’t need to book a table in advance for any meals either, just head down when you’re ready.

Felucca

This al fresco spot’s up on the top deck. Light bites like burgers, kebabs and fruit are served at lunchtime and there’s no need to book – just rock up when you’re peckish. For dinner, there’s traditional fare on the menu and you’ll need to book a table in advance – just pop to reception to make a reservation. Afternoon tea’s served up here once per sailing, too, when you can tuck into sandwiches, cakes, scones and more.
