Overview

CARNIVAL TROPICALE SETS SAIL FROM GALVESTON IN 2028

Named in honor of the legendary 1982 MS Tropicale, Carnival Tropicale™ will join our award-winning Excel class in 2028. The original Tropicale introduced a new way of cruising where standout entertainment and onboard experiences mattered just as much as the destinations themselves.

Now that legacy sails forward with a touch of old‑Vegas flair and a tropical glow all its own. Think tropical charm with a showstopping wink — immersive spaces and next‑generation experiences that make you feel like part of the show. The lineup wouldn't be complete without Excel-class headliners like Sunsation Point, the upper-deck zone made for all-day, all-night fun, and Carnival WaterWorks Ultra, setting the stage for family-friendly thrills and memories worth telling long after the curtain falls.

This is just the opening act with more reveals on the way before Carnival Tropicale sets sail from Galveston in 2028. You can expect even more new experiences, plus fan favorites from our Excel-class ships. Your chance to book is coming soon. The spotlight is waiting.

Entertainment

IT'S SHOWTIME, ALL THE TIME!

On Carnival Tropicale, the scene is set for unforgettable moments. With dazzling productions and one-of-a-kind programming, you can expect performances inspired by the golden age of show business — old Vegas with a tropical twist. So step into a world where the spotlight feels warmer, the performances feel more vibrant, and where every evening feels like opening night.

Sunsation Point

Carnival Tropicale's top deck will be home to Sunsation Point, a zone that's all entertainment, and made with families in mind. Everybody is sure to love Carnival WaterWorks Ultra's six waterslides and two splash pads, designed to deliver the H, the 2 and the O to all guests. But the water is just the beginning of the Sunsation story: a mini golf course, outdoor games, arcade and dining spots make this the perfect place for fun all day and night.

Carnival WaterWorks Ultra

Carnival Tropicale's splashing, glistening jewel of fun under the sun is Carnival WaterWorks Ultra. Yes to brag, but this is the most family-friendly waterpark at sea, and Carnival's biggest yet! Designed to deliver the H, the 2 and the O to all guests, this one is packing six thrilling waterslides, plus a splash pad designed just for babies... with another pad for everyone.
