As the original cruise company in French Polynesia, Aranui Cruises has been introducing the enchanting Marquesas Islands to avid adventurers for more than 40 years. Aranui 5, a custom-built passenger-freighter which launched in 2015, is unique in every way. Combining the comforts and modern conveniences of a cruise ship while providing a cargo service to remote areas, the ship acts as a lifeline for tiny communities far removed from civilisation. This boutique vessel accommodates just 230 passengers, offering an intimate and casual setting for guests to explore French Polynesia.

During our 12-day cruise to the Marquesas, we provide all your meals and scheduled excursions, and our modern and comfortable vessel will be your home as you discover the magic that attracted Paul Gauguin, Robert Louis Stevenson, Thor Heyerdahl and Jacques Brel to this remote region. Our gracious staff and crew, many of whom have been with us for many years and are from the islands we visit, will welcome you as family and delight in introducing you to their centuries-old customs. They join our knowledgeable, multilingual lecturers and guides in sharing the French Polynesian culture with you as you explore these captivating islands.

Accommodating just 230 passengers, Aranui 5 offers the same relaxed and friendly atmosphere as her predecessors. Meet new friends at the bar, and relax on the deck, or by the pool as the islands float by. If you seek privacy, retreat to your balcony in a suite or deluxe stateroom. Every evening presents a new opportunity to watch the infinite colours of the sunset dance in the sky and reflect in the sea as another day draws to a close in the South Pacific. After a three-course dinner, the lively Aranui Band will introduce you to Polynesian rhythms and teach you to swivel your hips to the infectious beat of the Tamure.

If you seek privacy, retreat to your balcony in a suite or deluxe stateroom.

Passenger accommodations range from Premium exterior staterooms, of which more than 90% have a private balcony; to Standard exterior staterooms with a picture window or porthole; and Class C, shared dormitory style cabins with occupancy for four or eight people.

Presidential Suite

Composed of three individual rooms of 41 m² interior area and a private balcony of 12 m², this outdoor cabin has a separate bedroom with a large double bed, a living room with a sofa bed, a living room with integrated bar, two bathrooms with shower and hairdryer, dressing room, refrigerator and safe.

Royal Suite

This outdoor cabin of 22 m² with private balcony of 9m² has a bedroom with a large double bed and a living room with a sofa bed separated by a decorative partition of Polynesian style, a bathroom with shower and dryer hair, refrigerator and safe.

This outdoor cabin of 19 m² with private balcony of 4m² has a bedroom with a large double bed or twin beds, a living room equipped with a sofa bed, separated by a decorative partition of Polynesian style, a bathroom with shower and dryerhair, refrigerator and safe.

This 19 m² outdoor cabin without balcony but with large windows has a bedroom with a large double bed or twin beds, a bathroom with shower and hairdryer, a refrigerator and a safe.

Standard Quadruple Cabin

This four-bed cabin, 17 m², has a large double bed, two bunk beds and a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. The displayed fare applies to the first two occupants of the cabin. The third and fourth occupant benefit from a 25% discount.

Standard Cabin
