Overview

We are proud to announce American Serenade won Cruise Critic’s 2023 Editors’ Picks Award for Best New River Cruise Ship of the Year, the first time an American ship has received this prestigious award.

According to Cruise Critic, “With extra-large staterooms and suites, trendy interior décor, an innovative hydraulic bow and retractable ramp, and one of the most gorgeous sun decks we’ve seen on a river-going ship, American Serenade sets the bar for domestic U.S. river cruising high.”

Like her sister ship American Symphony, the 180-passenger American Serenade introduces an updated modern interior design, integrating an elegant and refined aesthetic with our tradition for the spacious comfort found aboard all of our ships. Drawing inspiration from the geography across America, the new interior design highlights natural textural elements and serene color palettes.

American Serenade also showcases panoramic views throughout, including an impressive four-story glass atrium in the center of the ship. Ranging from 250 to 650 square feet, all of the spacious staterooms offer full-size bathrooms, roomy closets, and private balconies. The new ship also features an onboard fitness center and many spacious lounges where you can relax after the day’s adventures.

Accommodation

American Cruise Lines staterooms, most at more than 300 square feet, are by far the largest in their class. The majority of staterooms have spacious private balconies and feature a roomy private hotel-like bath and a large, opening picture window, allowing you spectacular up-close views of landscape, ports, river and sea.

Each stateroom is tastefully designed with your comfort and convenience in mind and includes the following amenities: Twin or King-sized bed, twice-daily stateroom service, individual climate control system, spacious closet and four-drawer dresser, dual night tables, alarm clock, writing desk & stationery, remote-controlled satellite TV, USB ports and mini-refrigerator, in-room single serve coffee brewer (with coffee and tea pods), shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and hair dryer (with grab rails in every bathroom).

Grand Suite

The Grand Suites are the finest shipboard accommodations on any small cruise ship. 650 sq. ft. of space encompasses a living room, bedroom, dining table and breakfast bar, balcony, and a spacious master bathroom. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors in both the bedroom and living room lead to a 25-foot-long private balcony with a table, chairs, and chaise lounge. The living room has a TV, and the dining area has a coffee machine and refrigerator that is restocked daily. The bedroom has an additional TV and has a king-size bed but can be configured with two twin beds. The bathroom has a double vanity with a large shower, and is equipped with toiletries, hairdryer, plush towels and robes. Storage space in each Grand Suite includes a wardrobe, full-size dresser, and desk drawers. Each suite also has individual climate control, safe, USB charging ports, and complimentary WiFi.

Veranda Suite

Each 405 sq. ft. Veranda Suite stateroom offers large floor-to-ceiling glass doors which lead to a comfortable balcony with a table and chairs. Each room has a king-size bed but can be configured with two twin beds. Veranda Suite rooms have a full bathroom equipped with large shower, toiletries, hairdryer, and plush towels. Storage space in each room includes a wardrobe, full-size dresser, under-bed storage, and desk drawers. Each room also has individual climate control, TV, safe, USB charging ports, and complimentary WiFi.

Premium Balcony

Each 350 sq. ft. Premium Balcony stateroom offers large floor-to-ceiling glass doors which lead to a comfortable balcony with a table and chairs. Each room has a king-size bed but can be configured with two twin beds. Premium Balcony rooms have a full bathroom equipped with large shower, toiletries, hairdryer, and plush towels. Storage space in each room includes a wardrobe, full-size dresser, under-bed storage, and desk drawers. Each room also has individual climate control, TV, safe, USB charging ports, and complimentary WiFi.

Each 315 sq. ft. Deluxe Balcony stateroom offers large floor-to-ceiling glass doors which lead to a comfortable balcony with a table and chairs. Each 275 sq. ft. Standard Balcony stateroom offers large floor-to-ceiling glass doors which lead to a comfortable balcony with a table and chairs. Single Balcony

Our dedicated single staterooms are 250 sq. ft. of space. Each room includes a floor-to-ceiling glass door leading to a full-size private balcony with a table and chairs. Single Balcony staterooms have a full-size bed, and a full bathroom equipped with large shower, toiletries, hairdryer, and plush towels. Storage space in each room includes a wardrobe, full-size dresser, under-bed storage, and desk drawers. Each room also has individual climate control, TV, safe, USB charging ports, and complimentary WiFi.

Gratuities

American Cruise Lines is All-Inclusive and the per person fare includes passage, dining service, snacks, complimentary cocktail parties, entertainment on board the ship, onboard gratuities, as well as port charges and fees. Fares do not include all shore excursions (unless otherwise noted).

Entertainment

American Cruise Lines features various oversized lounges aboard each of its ships, including internet stations and a well-stocked library. Many decks are available to guests, including a lounge deck and observation deck. Binoculars, guides, and additional reading materials are available throughout the ships.

To further enhance your cruising experience, American Cruise Lines has various forms of entertainment from onboard entertainers to local experts and historians with knowledge of American history, ecology, and the local culture. There are activities, lectures, presentations, and discussions that bring each region to life. Depending on the itinerary, onboard activities include Art Classes, App-titude Classes (Tech Made Easy), Cooking Demonstrations, Fitness, Trivia and more.

Sky Lounge

Located at the aft of the ship, this elegantly designed lounge provides the perfect ambiance for socialising and admiring the scenery while enjoying a refreshing cocktail. The sizeable skylight overhead and large windows surrounding the room brings the outdoors in.

Sun Deck

Take a deep breath of fresh air and immerse yourself in the breathtaking 360-degree view of the passing scenery from this ideal setting. Savour the gentle breeze and scenic views while reclining on a comfortable lounge chair. Unwind with your favourite book, socialise with fellow travellers, play shuffleboard, or simply bask in the serenity of your surroundings.

The Game Room

This mid-ship lounge offers a peaceful enclave for reading a favourite book, having a quiet conversation, or simply reflecting on your adventures and those still to come. The cozy ambiance and thoughtfully designed furnishings invite guests to unwind, enveloped in a sense of calm amidst the excitement of the voyage.

The Study

For those seeking a quiet respite, this mid-ship study offers an ideal space to immerse yourself in a good book, engage in a friendly card game, or tackle a challenging puzzle. Sink into a plush armchair, surrounded by elegant decor that sets the stage for relaxation and rejuvenation.

River Lounge

This lounge at the bow is a bustling hub of activity during the day, perfect for casual conversations and mingling with fellow passengers. In the evening, it is transformed into a lively entertainment venue, promising memorable nights filled with laughter and camaraderie.

Storyteller Lounge

Tucked away in the heart of the ship, this mid-ship lounge offers a tranquil sanctuary for guests seeking moments of solitude or peaceful interaction. Away from the hustle and bustle, indulge in unhurried conversations or fully immerse yourself in a captivating book.
