Aboard the Amadeus ships you appreciate the ease of travel without having to forego any of the elegant comforts of a 5-star hotel. Their main personal concern is to ensure you feel good on board and can enjoy your cruise on Europe’s most beautiful waterways without having to worry about anything at all.

You’ll feel at home right away when you see how stylish the luxurious cabins are, and how comfortably equipped. Absolutely all the Amadeus fleet’s cabins are outside facing and most of them have French balconies. The broad glass frontages provide spectacular views of the scenery passing by, of charming towns and fascinating cultural sights.

Gratuities

In common with international customs, it is normal to tip staff. The amount you tip is left to your discretion and should be seen as a reward for good service. If you would like a recommendation, Amadeus suggest between €5-7 per guest per day.

Entertainment

Travel brings people together. You will enjoy traveling over land and water with like-minded people.

You get talking, introduce yourselves, exchange pleasantries and - just minutes later - find yourself playing a game of chess or golf or having a companionable drink in the Panorama Bar. Shared pleasures when traveling simply doubles up the joie de vivre.

When all is said and done, getting to know other interesting people is one of the very special sources of pleasure that spring up for river cruise passengers who choose Amadeus. Not only is there so much to admire and talk about during the cruise but, again and again, moments when everyone joins in the laughter that keeps on breaking out. 

Panorama Bar

After dinner why not take yourself to the Panorama Bar and Lounge. Entertainment from local musicians and a fully stocked bar where you will find your favourite tipple. With an elegant decor and floor to ceiling windows the Panorama bar and lounge allows you wonderful river views of the towns and cities of Europe.

Amadeus Club

Located at the aft on the Mozart Deck. The Amadeus Club is a comfortable space with plenty of chairs and tables and unimpeded views of the outside. The decor is nautical, with models of sailing ships and a replica bell. Self-service tea and coffee area is available, where passengers can help themselves to cappuccinos or espressos and choose from 16 varieties of tea. 

Internet Station & Library

Located within the Amadeus Club is the Internet Cafe where passengers can use one of the two computers here to log onto the Net for a rate of 30 euros a week, 50 euros for two weeks or 3 euros per hour. Also located within the Amadeus Club, the library is well stocked with books available in several languages. Passengers can also borrow board games at their leisure.

Sun Deck

When weather is pleasant, the Sun Deck functions as the hub of activity for Silver. The top deck has plenty of lounge chairs from which to watch the passing scenery. It also has an oversized chessboard, shuffleboard and golf green for putting practice. 

Gift Shop

There is a gift shop onboard with a limited selection of toiletries, souvenirs, and other sundries. All purchases are charged to your shipboard account. The hours of operation are adjusted to each day’s program. Please enquire about shop opening times at the reception.

Our reception is staffed around the clock during your journey and our team will be happy to help you in all matters. If you would prefer to explore the region on your own, our reception team will be on hand with advice! The vessel docks, and you disembark and discover new things...

You see Europe at its most beautiful - gliding through memorable riverside scenery and passing many different kinds of sights, small towns, and bustling big cities. An Amadeus river cruise has its own special way of showing you the most diverse sights of Europe and keeps on surprising you - whether on board or ashore - as you learn new aspects of Europe's complex history.

The impressions you gain along the banks of the rivers seem to be almost infinite - such that, however well you may know a stretch of country, you find yourself discovering it all over again.  

Excursions

As you disembark with a small group of no more than 24 guests each excursion is led by an expert local guide, to experience Europe at its most authentic.

Those who book excursions are provided a Quietvox system. Passengers wear earpieces and receivers, while tour guides speak into a transmitter. This means passengers can go at their own pace among the group without missing what the tour guide is saying.

Complimentary bikes on board

There is also a lot to experience off the beaten track: And what better way to do this than an individual bicycle discovery tour on shore? You can enjoy complete independence on your excursions with our free on-board bicycle hire. Of course, we will also equip you with the appropriate accessories, such as bicycle helmets, etc.  Bicycles can only be reserved through the Reception one day in advance of the time you wish to use them (or on the day of, if available). Their use is solely at your own risk.

Dining

Step aboard an Amadeus vessel and taste everything that the landscapes, regions, and the adventurous head chef can offer you in the way of carefully composed menus and local specialities. The kitchen team combines its love of cooking with its goal to present you with modern haute cuisine tempered with a classical approach to food.

To this end, they recommend and serve you selected wines that go perfectly with each dish. You will see for yourself how each plate that leaves the Amadeus kitchen is a work of art that our waiters know just how to place before you with charm, cheerfulness, and panache. Dinner is the crowning glory of each day of the cruise.

Panorama Restaurant

The Panorama Restaurant offers our guests a relaxed atmosphere. We serve both international and regional dishes. The day on board begins with a rich continental breakfast buffet, where we are also happy to serve you various freshly prepared egg dishes from the kitchen on request. At lunchtime, you have the choice between varied menus and buffet specialties in the Panorama Restaurant or a light alternative in the Panorama Bar. In the evening, we offer our guests finely composed, multi-course menus. A vegetarian alternative is always available. Hot coffee and tea are available throughout the day. All meals are based on the excursion times, which is why breakfast can also be served very early in the morning.

Would you like to reserve a specific seat in the Panorama Restaurant? Then please contact our restaurant manager/maître d'hôtel on the first day of your cruise and let him know where you would like to sit. We will do our best to accommodate your wishes.

There is always a vegetarian option for all meals on board AMADEUS ships. Our chefs and restaurant staff do all they can to ensure that all other dietary requirements are met wherever possible. Such requirements of individual passengers can, however, only be fulfilled if service fulfilment for all passengers on board can also be ensured. In all cases, passengers are obliged to control the food which has been served to them in so far as it is possible. Passengers must inform us of any food intolerances or dietary requirements as soon as possible (at least 60 days prior to departure). If we are not informed in good time, passengers cannot expect their dietary requirements to be considered. We reserve the right to not permit a passenger on board if the fulfilment of their dietary requirements would pose too great a challenge for the on-board organisation.

Health and Fitness

Exercise and relaxation, variety and calm. It is precisely these alternations that characterise each day you spend on an Amadeus cruise.

So you can, if you like, start the morning with a visit to the fitness studio or join an exercise class on the sun deck. But if you would prefer to relax completely, you can treat yourself to a massage or make an appointment with the hairdresser.

You might also like to lounge on the sun deck with a good book, appreciating the scenery floating slowly by, or get to chatting to other passengers over coffee and cakes. Whatever you decide to do, Amadeus life offers a perfect mixture of inspiring entertainment and beneficial relaxation.

Fitness Room

Relaxation and activity in equal measure. If you don't want to miss out on being active during your vacation, you can use the on-board gym free of charge, which is open 24 hours a day and is equipped with high-quality training equipment. The joint early morning sport on the sun deck is ideal for an active start to the day.

Massage Room

Indulge yourself with a relaxing massage at the Spa located on the Strauss Deck.

Hair Salon

Fancy a makeover? Then head to the hair salon where haircutting and styling services are on offer for men and women. Located on the Strauss Deck where services range from 9 to 30 Euros.
